What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Samlor is celebrated for its innovative and delicious Thai neo-bistro experience, with the signature omelette consistently praised. While many rave about the flavorful, shareable dishes and pleasant atmosphere, some diners note that the restaurant can be a bit greasy and the service can feel rushed at times. Despite minor critiques, it's a highly recommended spot for a unique Thai culinary adventure.
"Every single dish we ordered was so yummy (not exaggerating!). The fluffy crab omelette with crispy topping, smoky char siu, melt-in-your-mouth pork belly, juicy grilled squid, garlicky greens, and those addictive pork belly sliders - all absolute winners. Even the chilled tomato appetiser hit the spot.
Can’t wait to come back and eat the rest of the menu!"

"The famous Sam-Lor omelette 🥚🍳 was quite tasty and lived up to the hype at first, but I’d give it a 4/5 since it got a bit greasy after a while. The stir-fried basil beef was delicious too—I especially liked the crispy holy basil leaves. I visited on my birthday, and the restaurant surprised me with a complimentary banana cake, which was so good! Big thanks to the team for the sweet gesture. Overall, the food was nice, but not something I’d crave to come back for. 🥺💜"

"We managed to secure a reservation for a weekend dinner and it was well worth it. The food and service were impressively fast, especially considering everyone was ordering at the same time for the 6pm dinner service.
The standout dish for me was definitely the tod mun goong – crispy and flavourful. The signature omelette was good, though it didn’t quite live up to the high expectations I had. The beef krapow was tender, well-balanced, and not too spicy, making it easy to enjoy.
Overall, it was a very good dining experience and it would have been perfect if the milo toast wasn't sold out."

I usually try to have a good mix of Thai food when I am in Bangkok, be it a casual meal like the one I had at the wildly popular Michelin Bib Gourmand Jeh O Chula (skip the insane queue by booking a slot on Klook) and Nhong Rim Klong, Michelin starred restaurants like Sorn and Baan Tepa, or a mid-range concept like Samlor.
