Reviews Summary

Goodsouls Kitchen is highly praised for its exceptional vegan cuisine, with reviewers frequently highlighting the quality, quantity, and presentation of their dishes. Diners love the extensive menu, the welcoming atmosphere, and the value for money, often returning multiple times during their visit. While prices are slightly higher than typical Thai eateries, the delicious flavors and healthy options make it well worth it.

"We are so happy we found this restaurant!
Here you can have the most delicious vegetarian meals for a very competitive price. The food was well prepared with love, beautifully presented and most important, so very tasty.
The atmosphere is sophisticated yet relaxed, quiet and comfy.
The staff was always very friendly and available.
We would definitely comeback again and again ❤️"

"Goodsouls Kitchen: most dishes contain onion & garlic, and the portions are really huge.

The taste is quite average, but the smoothie bowls are delicious – refreshing and perfectly sweet. Staff were a bit distant. Portions are so big that I even saw two girls at the next table couldn’t finish half of their food 🥘.

Better not to order too much to avoid waste. ☺️"

"Some of the best vegan food I’ve ever had in a restaurant—period! I ate there twice, and both times completely exceeded my expectations. The first meal was the vegan Philly Cheese Sandwich, made with mushrooms instead of meat and their incredible homemade cashew cheese. On my second visit, I tried their burger with potato wedges, and once again the cashew cheese blew me away… it’s honestly one of the best vegan cheeses I’ve ever tasted.

The environment was welcoming, and refreshingly laid-back. I especially appreciated the thoughtful sign reminding people not to use laptops or tablets at the tables. It keeps the space focused on food, conversation, and community, which feels so important in 2025."

Vegan Guide to Chiang Mai

As one of the OG vegan restaurants in Chiang Mai they have always been in our vegan guide, so it was good to finally return and eat some of their delicious vegan food again. The vegan cakes are seriously good so don’t miss out on them. Our pad Thai was excellent and our khao soi was full of flavour, as was the massaman curry, all were generous portions and packed with healthy ingredients making for a very wholesome experience.

Swing over for breakfast and grab a traditional Thai soup (love!) or tofu scramble, or chow down for lunch or dinner and enjoy their extensive offerings from soups, salads, curries and more to Western favorites like burgers and fries.

Ten Places to get a Vegan Pancake in Chiang Mai!

Newer on the scene, Goodsouls offer two different flavours of vegan pancakes, a mango/banana one and a black sesame one which is a bit more grainy and wholesome. These both come more like you’d expect traditional pancakes to be as they are a stack of several smaller cakes rather than one large one. All flavours are fantastic and come with a particularly good whipped coconut cream.
