Reviews Summary
Khao Soi Mae Manee is highly acclaimed for its authentic and intensely flavorful Khao Soi, with many calling it the best they've ever had. Diners rave about the tender meats and rich broth, though some note the restaurant is a bit outside the city center and can get busy. The rustic ambiance adds to its charm, making it a worthwhile destination for a genuine local culinary experience.
"Hands down THE BEST Khao Soi I've ever had in Thailand and even in the U.S! The soup is so rich and flavorful that I drank it all to the point I ordered another bowl to eat because I was so hungry. When you get to the restaurant, waive down the young guy that works there, I believe he's the son or maybe just the worker there because he will give you a pager (do not just wait around to write down your name, unless they've changed it). Then again, this is based off my experience from June 2024 so don't take my word for it from 7 months ago even though I'm writing my review now.
So yea, he will give you a pager telling you your table is ready and mind you, you may sit with strangers if you are a small party of 1 or 2. You will be given a small sheet of paper to order from and if you're not sure what it is, there will be a picture menu at each table so just take a look at that. I ordered just #1 Khao Soy w/ Chicken and a Thai Tea."

"Looking for the best Khao Soi in Chiang Mai, get a Grab and head to Khao Soi Mae Manee. Rich broth , tender fall off the bone chicken or beef. A friendly smile and a relaxed local shop that’s been operating for over 25yrs."

"Found out about this Khao Soi place thanks to Mark Wiens. It's off the beaten path and situated quite far away from the city centre in a non-descript neighbourhood but definitely worth the trip. I actually really like the ambience of the place - it may be uncomfortable for some (being in the backyard of what seems to be a private dwelling without air-conditioning) but it adds to the rustic and authentic charm of the place. The Khao Soi was extremely tasty and the lady who served me was really nice and friendly. She could immediately tell that it was my first time trying Khao Soi and taught me what to add to the bowl; the resulting mix was a hearty delicious bowl of noodles in a thick beefy broth with a similar consistency to goulash. Washed it down with some refreshing homemade organic honey coffee. A more unique variant of the typical khao soi dish and definitely a must-try!"
