In 2005 David Anichowski opened the Duke’s the first American restaurant by the Ping River in Chiang Mai.David. For more generic Western fare, Duke’s is one of the most popular names in town serving up a range of burgers, steaks, pizzas and pastas. Good quality food, sensible prices and enormous servings follow a simple but effective formula and they have now spread out across town from their original Ping River side address to open several other concessions including at Maya and the Night Bazaar.

If you're an American looking for a classic New York-style pizza, Duke's is the place to go. With multiple outlets in the city (my favorite is next to the Ping River), they are known for serving some of the best American comfort food in town. Not only do they make delicious NYC-style pizza, but also mouth-watering burgers, ribs, steaks, and more.

Or maybe “Western comfort food from everywhere” would be a better description. Doesn’t really matter, all you need to know is that their pizza, burgers, ribs and more are scrumptious, fresh and in their own words “home made from scratch”. Quality comes with a price though and it won’t be a cheap night out.

David Anichowski opened his first restaurant, the Duke’s, by the Ping river in Chiang Mai in 2005. The fact that there are now four (and counting) Duke’s in Chiang Mai is testament to the fact that this restaurant has certainly lived up to its slogan of ‘No claims, no games, just great food’!

We would dare to say that The Duke’s pizza is likely the most popular home delivery pizza – discounting the big chains – in town. And this is because The Duke’s is all about comfort food. The Duke’s pizzas have consistently sat at the top of most ‘best pizza’ lists in the city.

According to their website, they have "the best American food in Chiang Mai." Multiple locations exist in the city. They also do a Thanksgiving dinner!. A friend who had lived in Chiang Mai gave me the heads up.
