What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Khao Tom Jor Charoenchai is praised for its authentic Thai-Chinese flavors, friendly service, and reasonable prices, making it a popular local choice. While many enjoy the unique dishes and quick service, some found certain items to be inconsistently prepared or having small portions for the price. The busy atmosphere and occasional noise from the street are also noted.
"Great local restaurant for dinner. You can enjoy local style of food especially their signature dishes. The order can be very quick. You don’t have to spend too long for the food. Also many tables are available."
Krittin K. (Kong)
"Passed by this place many times and always busy. Decided to give it a try.
It's basically Chinese/Thai dishes. Tried the shrimp with mushroom which had only 3 mediocre prawns with nice mushrooms. The crispy pork with kale was nice. The snakehead fish with green peppercorn was not that great. Lots of bones in the chunks and then the biggest piece was the inedible head.
Plus a tiny bowl of rice.
Portions were very small for the price. I'm not sure why it's so popular??
Also it can be very noisy from street and ambulances going by."

"Clean and tasty Thai-Chinese
This is one of the favourites of local for dinner and late night meal. The menu consists of mostly chinese mixed with Thai. The food are good and reasonably priced.
However, the honey glace bbq pork on the sweet side, and so as the 5 spiced pork. All fried vege are tasty as well as Crispy pork belly.
This place can be very crowded during the weekend so make sure that you come early for dinner or late to avoid the peak hours. Or you just have to wait for your queue and your food.
There is no parking area, so you need to park on the roadside."
