We were on our way to visit the Open Air Museum in Goreme to explore the unique cave monasteries, chapels and churches which date from the 11th century when we were enticed into Café Safak by the smell of coffee brewing. The black board sign at the front of the Café alerted us to the fact that the Barista was trained in Australia, that was good enough for us to detour for a short coffee break.
