"Our evening at Jash in Istanbul was nothing short of magical! This cozy, intimate spot instantly won me over with its warm atmosphere and the incredible live piano accordion music—classics and requests played with such soul. What made it truly special was the owner, a wonderfully hospitable and personable host who made us feel like family. The highlight was the magic of it all— the music, the ambiance, and the genuine warmth tied everything together perfectly. Jash is a treasure in Istanbul, and I can’t recommend it enough!"

"I really and truly loved this place. The food is amazingly pleasant. It’s not too salty and not too sour. It has the perfect flavor. We tried several dishes and all were amazing. Specially acte a day of walking in the streets of Istanbul, the food looks like a perfect treat. I would recommend anyone how wants to have a taste of a food that is made with love. I also have to mention the beautiful ambience and so many pictures of the older times. The walls are telling history and I loved it."

"The cafe is very cozy and stylish, one of the most beautiful places here! The lamb chops was amazing, it comes with vegetables and very tasty potato gratin. Dessert quince (ayva) was also very tasty and big! I didn’t ask but the waiter brought water and charge 12TL in bill for the water. So if you don’t want water say it before. Also it was kuver in the bill and it means service (10%). So service is included."

Best restaurants in Istanbul for breakfast, lunch and dinner
Run by an Armenian-Istanbullu, Jash is a classic neighbourhood restaurant with white tablecloths and a welcoming vibe in trendy Cihangir. The menu is wide ranging, with meatballs cooked in tomato and yoghurt, chicken in butter sauce and stuffed vine leaves but the thing to try is the Armenian meze dish topik, which is unlike anything else. Usually prepared for Lent, topik is made with tahini, onion, pine nuts, currants and cinnamon and is served in a little roundel.
