Reviews Summary
Mahir Lokantası is celebrated for its exceptional lahmacun and içli köfte, often described as phenomenal and among the best. Diners praise the authentic flavors, friendly service, and cozy atmosphere. However, some reviews mention long wait times, a potentially greasy lahmacun, and occasional issues with service speed or missing menu items, alongside concerns about the price-to-quality ratio for certain dishes.
"This place is a gem in Istanbul. The food is very tasty, good quality ingredients and the service is top-notch ! We went there 3 times during our trip and every dish we tried was amazing. The staff is very kind and attentive, you won’t regret it if you go there !"

"Their içli köfte is phenomenal! I’m guessing it’s because they sauté the filling beforehand; it just adds so much flavor with that spicy oil they drizzle on top. If Seraf’s içli köfte is #1, this place easily takes the #2 spot.
The lahmacun was also quite tasty, but a bit too greasy; one was great but a second would be too heavy. As for the irmik helvası, it was over-roasted, too oily, and too sweet for my taste.
Overall, they seem to lean heavy on oil and sugar, but still, it’s a spot worth visiting. You won’t leave disappointed!
If you arrive a little before opening time, you can get in without waiting too long and enjoy your meal as soon as they open. Otherwise, expect a line. And right across the street, you’ll find Mahir Kebapçısı!"

"Mahir Lokantası delivers tasty lahmacun with a side of cozy local charm, though the wait can test your patience. Despite being right next to each other, the crowd doesn't dwindle, and the service feels a bit slow. The soup? Decent, but nothing to write home about. Worth the visit if you're after a flavorful bite, just bring some extra time! 🍽️"

Mahir Nazlıcan, who hails from a family of restaurateurs, tempts customers back again and again for lahmacun (crispy flat bread topped with a mincemeat mixture) and içli köfte (bulgur wheat balls stuffed with spicy mince meat). As soon as you step inside, the traditional dishes on the hot display provide a hit of nostalgia – think stews, pilaf dishes and soups. The famous lahmacun is the talk of the town thanks to its perfect crispiness .
