Reviews Summary

Mimi Kakushi is celebrated for its sophisticated ambiance, exceptional Japanese cuisine, and innovative cocktails, offering a unique dining experience that blends 1920s Osaka glamour with a lively atmosphere. While many praise the high quality of food and attentive service, some find the pricing steep and note that the seating arrangement can lack privacy for intimate occasions.

"Not Just Another Saturday Night in Dubai – Mimi Kakushi Delivers Midnight Magic

Where else in the world can you book a dinner reservation for midnight and be treated like it’s prime time? Mimi Kakushi in Dubai redefines late-night dining with seamless service, exceptional cuisine, and an atmosphere that effortlessly blends class and energy.

We sat down at 12am, and from the moment we arrived, the staff and manager were as fresh and attentive as if it were 8pm. Drinks were ordered and arrived in moments no delay, no fuss. The food? Outstanding. Each dish flowed perfectly into the next, never rushed, never dragging, creating an experience that felt indulgent yet unhurried.

At 1am, manager Lana personally checked in to ensure we had everything we needed before the kitchen closed a thoughtful touch that capped off an already flawless night.

Mimi Kakushi isn’t just a restaurant it’s an experience. The venue is elegant, the vibe electric, and the team behind it clearly know how to make every guest feel like they’re exactly where they should be. This wasn’t just dinner. It was a moment. And a memorable one at that."

vlado bosanac

"Went there on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my husbands birthday. My husband and I took the brunch option and got a maki roll for my son separately. The service was prompt and good. The ambiance nice and the food fantastic! All the starters were delicious. They were also timing the food well, so we had enough time to finish each round. The deserts platter was quite elaborate:)
We celebrated the birthday with a little candle on a strawberry. Would love to come back."

Astha Batra

"I wouldn’t recommend this place for couples — here’s why.

While the food was undeniably delicious (and yes, overpriced but still worth trying), the overall experience left a lot to be desired. Like many upscale restaurants, the menu comes without any pictures, which makes it difficult to navigate if you're not already familiar with Japanese cuisine. This could be quite confusing for first-time diners.

The seating arrangement is another issue. There’s absolutely no sense of privacy for couples or small groups — tables are placed barely a meter apart, making it feel crowded and uncomfortable. This setup is especially unsuitable for guests from the Gulf region who value privacy while dining. It’s a much better setup if you come as part of a large group, where you’re given a more appropriate table.

Lastly, the service felt a bit arrogant. At this price point, I expect welcoming and attentive staff — not attitude. Great food alone isn’t enough to make up for poor hospitality, especially in a fine dining setting."
