"A nice late lunch at this relaxed venue. Staff were welcoming, the table was laid out beautifully, and the food was delicious. One of our party struggled to find a dish which would suit her dietary needs. Our server, Steph, kindly popped into the kitchen to have a chat with the chef, and between them they managed to produce a meal which our friend thoroughly enjoyed."

"As a last minute booking we took our two dogs to the Welldiggers and had a great stay. The location was ideal for the dogs with public footpaths right next to the pub with some lovely walks towards Petworth. Dogs were definitely catered for at the Welldiggers and staff were very attentive Food and drinks were very good the bar/restaurant and outside space very welcoming. Our room was a standard double which had a superb view over the South Downs,but was let down by being located directly above the kitchens and the extractor fan. Room was a little on the small side and we would look to choose a bigger option when returning,which we will definitely do."

"A fantastic country pub with beautiful views and an amazing restaurant. We took all the rooms and dined there over our wedding weekend and the staff were superb. I highly recommend this pub! Only giving 4/5 stars for rooms as the room I was in had big stains on the carpet and the snug room was very hot as there is no proper windows but it was an exceptionally warm summer night and they do provide fans! We will 100% be going back for our anniversary."
