"Really disappointing and a hard review to write we have been using this chip shop for approximately 30 years. Always been the best in area The owner we regard as a friend. He decided in the last year to retire not sure if the new people of the last 6 months to a year are managers or new owners but it has gone down hill in quality and service. Young staff seem clueless We have always had chip night weekly its usually a big order for the family 2 wanted chicken meat and chips the meat at a push was shown the chips it did not exist really other than a dusting. The mini fish in the lunch box barely there either and mainly batter Sadly we are now looking for a new chip shop such a shame to see somewhere with such a good history have its reputation spoiled and start serving rubbish after the love and hard work that was put onto the place"

"I highly recommend to avoid, front counter food (sit their all day form start) i as for a sausage that look warm, they pick in up and throw it straight into the microwave, with a price tag of £2 this wasn’t the first time I’ve had this experience, won’t be going here again"

We had lovely succulent cod in really crispy batter with crispy chips that had a nice soft centre, all with salt and vinegar that you can actually taste!. The portions sizes are very generous and all the staff are lovely even at the busiest of times. In our opinion this is the BEST fish n chips in Banbury by far!
