Reviews Summary

Sotto Sotto is highly praised for its intimate, romantic cellar ambiance and authentic Italian cuisine, particularly its homemade pastas. Diners consistently commend the friendly and attentive service, with specific staff members like Lucky and Azeez often mentioned. While the food quality is generally rated as very good, a few reviewers noted that it didn't always meet extremely high expectations, and one experience mentioned inconsistent service and food preparation.

"One of the best meals I have had in the UK! Everything tasted delicious, even the bread. The dishes strike me as adding some twists to traditional Italian cuisine, everything was flavourful and works really well. I just regret i was too full to try their dessert or more dishes.
Service was great from start to finish. Every member of staff had been welcoming and made me feel at ease.
Will definitely be back when I visit Bath again."

Jody W.

"The food here is definitely very good, the quality and flavours are all great. We ordered breaded cod to start (very fresh tasting). For mains we had Penne with mushroom & gorgonzola (excellent) and Linguine with prawns (delicious). We had sides of spinach (nice) and potatoes (addictive and perfect).

The ambience and atmosphere is great and the service is attentive. In fact, just a note for them, the service is a bit TOO attentive and almost intrusive as we were constantly interrupted by various waiters checking on us, asking if we're enjoying our meal. They mean well, they're very polite, but maybe a little less attention would be nice 😊

This restaurant was recommended by local friends and the food is definitely very good. I would visit again."

"This place is a hidden jewel of Bath. Held in an old wine cellar, it is very romantic. And the food was delicious with excellent presentation and service. Our server was Lucky and he was extremely professional. 10/10 will come back if ever in Bath!"
