What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Darcys Belfast is celebrated for its delicious and authentic Irish cuisine, with many praising the quality and flavor of dishes like the steak and seafood chowder. Diners appreciate the cozy atmosphere and friendly service. However, one reviewer reported an extremely negative experience with poor service and unsafe food.
"We had a fantastic meal at Darcy’s during our trip to Belfast. It’s a lovely, cosy restaurant with a warm and welcoming feel.
We tried the Belfast pastie for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. The seafood chowder was full of flavour, and the wheaten bread that came with it was like a savoury cake, I loved it!
We both had sirloin steaks, cooked medium rare, and they were the best steaks we’ve had in a long time, so tender, like cutting through butter. We also tried champ for the first time and the home-cooked chips, which were delicious.
The staff were brilliant!! Happy, friendly, and really helpful. It made the whole experience even better.
This was honestly the highlight of our trip. If we come back to Belfast, we’ll definitely be back!"

"Very nice place to have dinner.
The restaurant is very cozy, nicely decorated.
Staff is nice and welcoming.
We had a starter and a main dish. They were all good and well prepared.
Food is good quality and all the dishes had very distinctive flavors.
We were very satisfied with our dinner.
As the place is quite small reservation in advance is recommended"

"Here’s my take… all around great experience! My friend and I had a late dinner here, it was crowded and larger groups were being turned away - reservations seemed a good route if larger group. The waitstaff were kind, efficient and fun. We had the vegan pie and seafood chowder - both delicious! And we topped it off with the toffee pudding and ice cream which was perfectly sweet! The place itself had a traditional Irish bar feel. Great experience!"
