Reviews Summary

Jumon offers a creative and flavorful plant-based Asian fusion experience in a trendy, art-filled setting. While many praise the inventive dishes like the Korean fried broccoli and ramen, and the vibrant atmosphere, some diners find the pricing high and certain dishes to be average. Service can be inconsistent, with some servers being attentive and friendly, while others have received complaints.

"Creative Asian dishes in a funky environment. Plant based dishes have never tasted as good. Great service and excellent value for money make this a must visit place."

Richard Little

"We didn’t realize that it was a vegetarian restaurant until we saw the menu. It was worth a try though. We appreciated the starters more than the mains. The place was packed when we got there. It’s recommended to make a reservation. You may have to wait for a few minutes before you get seated. The food was good overall but we don’t think vegetarian is for us. Give them a try ✌🏼"

Frncs

"Excellent vegetarian food in a lively part of Belfast city centre.

Unfortunately, the waiting staff deflate the experience hugely… badgering us every two minutes until we were ready to order… then we waited an hour for the food to arrive; when we asked why we were told flatly that “it will come out when it’s ready”. The same waitress then returned with her manager and her tail between her legs five minutes later to confess that “we didn’t put it through on the computer properly so it’s not been ordered”.

Best vegetarian food I’ve ever had, the chefs are magic. The surly waiting staff let the place down. A smile (god forbid) and a bit of craic go a long way…"

Liv and Nijal made me a much bigger fan of Asian food than I was expecting, especially in a place as violently Irish as Belfast. I like Asian food, but never really jumped at it as a first choice when deciding what to eat–but it’s one of their favorite types of food, and the more we ate it, the more it really grew on me!. We went to Jumon for Liv’s birthday dinner, and it’s a really cool little vegetarian spot on Fountain Street serving unique Asian-inspired dishes and cocktails.

The Best Vegan Friendly Restaurants in Belfast

I have to start with the best first because when I first heard about this restaurant, it had my name written all over it – all vegan and Asian fusion, I instantly knew we had to go there!. Jass and I ordered a selection of dishes to share, because quite frankly, the entire menu looked soo good that we wanted to try as much as possible. To start, we ordered a cauliflower dish which was a special on the night we went and it was simply divine!
