What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Dancing Moose Ashley Cross is celebrated for its incredibly friendly staff and buzzing atmosphere, making for a warm dining experience. Diners particularly rave about the delicious Sunday Roast and creative cocktails. However, some reviews mention food not meeting expectations, with burgers being too salty or overcooked, and drinks being on the expensive side.
"We had the Best of Both Roast and our son had the Chicken Pops and it was out of this world. It was amazing! My husband had this place recommended to him by 3 different people and it's not hard to see why. We were in the area from Portsmouth for something completely separate, but we both agreed would travel just to eat that roast again. Omg it was so good; everything was cooked to perfection and portion sizes were hugely generous! The staff were so friendly, the service was 15/10 above and beyond, thank you.
The only problem was trying to drive an hour home when all I wanted to do was take a post roast nap 😂"

"The food looks better then it tastes. The burgers were too salty and meat overcooked. French fries were really nice. Drinks quite expensive. Card payments only which can be inconvenient."
Isabell Blossom
"Louis behind the bar was awesome. Made some really good cocktails and even told me he put the whole list together himself. Super friendly too."
