Reviews Summary

Bridlington Richie's Cafe is celebrated for its friendly staff, prime beachfront location, and delicious, reasonably priced food, especially its highly-rated homemade apple pie. It's also a standout for its dog-friendly atmosphere, offering free treats for canine companions. While most reviews are positive, one concerning review mentioned an issue with food freshness, though this appears to be an isolated incident.

"Great food and beers in a fantastic location. Plenty of roof top seating.

August 2024 back again and still the place to go on the sea front for breakfast, beers and lunch/dinner."

Alastair Duncan

"Visited Richie's Cafe whilst in Bridlington with my family. There is something on the menu for everyone and all priced really well.

The location is great, right on the sea front as close as you can get to the beach and the service was swift, staff were just as attentive moving empty plates when we had finished.

We all had different meals, including a cheese and tomato sandwich, jacket potato with chilli and cheese, sausages chips and beans and a bacon and pepperoni omelette. Nobody left a scrap of food on their plates, even though portion size was generous, as it was all really nicely made.

They also had a home made apple pie which was lovely, wasn't going to have any dessert, but saw how good the giant pie slices looked when we walked past the counter, and so took the opportunity (a decision I did not regret).

The menu is big and I could have chosen half a dozen things I fancied today, and probably half a dozen other things on a different day, when I fancy a different type of meal.

Pricing was pretty reasonable too, particularly with the food being well made, nicely presented and generous portion size. When we are next back in Bridlington, no doubt we will be visiting Richie's Cafe again."

Mark Arthur

"Super cheap and cheerful food here. They do all sorts and it’s super yummy. They do toasties, breakfast food, burgers, fish and chips, pasta, jacket potato’s and ciabatta loaded dishes.
They have outside seating and indoor so there is room for everyone. It is super dog friendly too.
Love it here"

Dog Friendly Bridlington

We don’t just love this traditional seaside town for it’s two huge dog friendly sandy beaches, (some of North and South Beach is restricted for dogs May – October but there is still a massive area that’s dog friendly and at Fraisthorpe dogs are permitted all year round ) but it is also the start point for one of our favourite coastal walks to Fraisthorpe Beach and back ( 6 miles) and home of Maya’s beloved Richie’s Cafe-bar where free doggy sausages are given to all canine customers. Dogs are welcome here inside and out at this seafront licenced cafe and the staff are uber friendly. The human food is delicious too.

15 Brilliant dog friendly pubs in Bridlington

It’s not quite a pub, but there’s sport on the telly, friendly locals, warm drinks, cold pints, and big portions of homecooked food at reasonable prices. They’re very dog-friendly and many owners “pup” in with their dog before or after walkies on the beach. There’s always water bowls for puppy patrons, but well-behaved pooches might even get a free sausage.
