"I came in for a takeaway order yesterday when the heavens had opened and a lot of places had closed due to low foot fall. The lady who served me was lovely, really chatty and friendly. They only take cash which was fine because I had pre-empted this, but it could easily catch you out if you aren't aware. The till is easily the oldest till I've seen in my life that isn't in a museum and the restaurant had a certain old fashioned charm.
My fish and chips were absolutely lovely! I actually wanted scampi, but I wasn't at all disappointed that they didn't do it because the fish in particular was so delicious. I had cod and my husband had haddock and the batter was thin, crispy and fresh tasting. Not too greasy. I really, really enjoyed it. I will certainly return."
