What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Stars Licensed Cafe is praised for its friendly staff, classic cafe atmosphere, and freshly prepared comfort food, making it a popular spot with locals. While some find the service can be slow, especially during busy periods, and certain vegetarian options may not suit all palates, the overall consensus is positive for its good food at reasonable prices.
"I'm always guilty of going for name brands for my coffee. Decided for the first to go here. I was not disappointed. Lovely coffee and tasty toasted sandwich. Staff are very friendly. Obviously popular with the locals. So in future I will be supporting smaller businesses."
Chris
"Arrived and staff were not massively attentive. Taking amongst themselves and ignoring customers. Food was ordered but after a 20 minute wait they had not yet started cooking our meal. We had to leave without our food as we were under a time pressure and this place did not cater towards that. Overall very poor service. Chef appeared rude and disgruntled when we cancelled our order despite not having started to prepare it"
David Schofield
"Called in for breakfast on a shopping trip to buxton we were greeted by two lovely ladies behind the counter as was our chocolate labrador dog gave him treats and water which only added to the visit the food wasn't fast because it's cooked fresh but it was worth every minutes wait so if you want good food at a reasonable price give them a try i would give them 100% +"
