What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Foundry Brewpub is celebrated for its excellent, locally brewed beers and spirits, as well as its warm, historic atmosphere. Diners often rave about standout dishes like the bacon and stilton burger and the fish and chips. While many praise the friendly service and unique setting, a few reviews mention occasional issues with staff attentiveness and price perception.
"Great food, great service, amazing beer. Good vibes at the Foundry!
To start with the place looks really nice and the staff is so welcoming. Service was amazing, our waiter explained so much about the beer (they brew their own beer). As well as recommending on best options for food.
We went for beer tasting, and i went for the burger with bacon and stilton cheese. It was so freaking good and tasty and beer was very interesting and flavourful. The most special one was the 9.8% Alcohol (Porter, forgot the name).
In general a very fun and tasty experience.
Highly recommended 🙌"

"Really enjoyed the food and service here. We had a beef brisket sandwich and peri peri chicken sandwich - both hit the spot. The chips stayed nice and crunchy even after a while. Onion rings were mid.But the real winner was the cheesy garlic bread... it was so good we had to order it twice. Hands down the best garlic bread I've had so far. Tried their in house lager too, and that was good."

"A friend recommended this brewpub in Canterbury. It did not disappoint. We appreciated being able to make reservations. Our server was so friendly and kind and gave great recommendations for where we were headed in Margate. The drinks (especially the ciders) and food was so delicious. I had the brisket sandwhich and sweet potato fries and it was one of the best meals I've eaten in a long time. My son took one bite of his burger, groaned and said, "can we come back here?!" Fun, cozy decor, great service and really delicious food!"

We went on pub crawl to see if Canterbury really is UK’s second best craft beer city
Like the guys at Floc, Jon has been inspired by the experiences of taprooms and brew pubs in the United States, where the craft beer revolution began back in the second half of the last century. He is not particularly keen on debating the ins and outs of how we label certain beers or breweries, but thinks that here in Kent we should be celebrating every facet of our centuries-long brewing history as one big success story.
