What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Food For Thought is a highly-regarded family-run deli praised for its freshly made sandwiches, delicious homemade pastries, and exceptionally friendly service. While most reviews are glowing, a few customers have noted issues with the quality of some baked goods and occasional undercooked food.
"Best deli in Barry. Price is great. Sandwiches are freshly made in front of you and they have an amazing selection of things. Staff are always lovely considering how hectic it can get, and you never have to wait too long. I've been coming here for years and now and I have no doubt i'll be coming for years more."

"Stopped by while working in Barry for a quick bite to eat, was after a freshly made sandwich that will hit the spot and this place definitely did that!
Ordered a ham, cheese and coleslaw sandwich and 2 cannolis - white chocolate and milk chocolate.
Sandwich was made fresh quality produce filling, ham was flavourful and moist, coleslaw was home made with lots of flavour also. This was exactly what I wanted and it’s what I got!
The cannolis let me down a bit, slightly dry and stale and not much taste imo.
The staff in here were super friendly, fast service and really welcoming!
Nothing bad to say about this spot, not most amazing sandwich’s but perfect homemade style sandwich’s!
Overall give it a solid 7.5/10
Will definitely go back!"

"The chocolate brownies, cinnamon buns and lemon pastries were amazing! And very reasonable. The chicken tika baguette in seeded bread was also incredible. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend and will become a frequent customer."
