"Second visit as my mum has been reminiscing about this place since our last travel in the UK. Came to Carlisle specifically for David’s. Walked in with great anticipation and weren’t disappointed.
Quality, honest ingredients done right! We ordered the set menus and were hoping to grab a dessert each but was too full by the end of our main dishes, had to go with two to share amongst the four of us.
You could tell that the chef and his team put a lot of efforts in designing and delivering the food. Highly recommend!"

"On route from Colchester to Scotland, we decided to stop in Carlisle for the evening and booked dinner at David's. I am so happy that we did, as it was one of the most wonderful places we've ever dined at. The food was absolutely delicious, from the flakey cod and perfectly cooked chicken, to the wonderfully seasoned vegetables. The haggis pakora and Irn Bru mayonnaise was a revelation and tasted amazing. We finished on a comforting and rich sticky toffee pudding. Not only did we have great food, Chris was a lovely host and made us feel so welcome. We are so sad we don't have this restaurant back in our home town and hope one day we can return to this fabulous place! ❤️ Thank you Chris!"
