Reviews Summary

Royal Outpost is praised for its authentic Thai and Asian cuisine, particularly the tapas-style small plates like bao buns and crispy pork belly. Diners highlight the fresh, flavorful food and reasonable prices. However, some reviewers found the main courses, like Pad Thai and ramen, to be bland, and noted issues with noise levels and service consistency during busy periods.

"Absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh, flavourful and authentically Thai-especially the Katsu curry and the oriental beef starter. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Thai cuisine!"

James MAUGHAN

"This place is okay but for the price I was expecting a lot higher quality than what we got.

The starters of duck bao bun and the Korean ribs were tasty but the main course really let the place down 😕
The ramen is served in a deep pasta bowl NOT suitable for ramen.
The Pad Thai was bland. Pad Thai is notorious for being a harmonious combination of sour, spicy and fresh flavours but this dish didn't have any flavour at all. The dish is was served with a lime wedge "dipped" in chilli flakes that you're meant to squeeze onto the dish but a tiny lime wedge does nothing when the rest is so dull.

Such a shame because this place has so much potential and is nicely decorated. 😔"

Laina

"Amazing food. Went for 3 small plates. Sriracha Bao Buns, Chicken dumplings, Pork belly. Super fresh, loads of flavour. Decent wine and beer selection. Staff were great. Really looking forward to going back."

Best Noodles | Tei An

You can make an argument for Asian Mint, of course, but Royal Thai takes its regal title seriously. And it’s not easy to depose a king when they turn out perfectly balanced pad Thai. Look beyond the world’s go-to Thai noodle dish, and you’ll find odd, fierce and refreshing combinations like pla goong, full of lemongrass, mint and burning peppers.
