Spent Valentines night here, food was amazing, the service excellent & cocktails were brilliant, atmosphere was incredible with plenty of space for a “small” restaurant. Coats were taken at the door, showed to our seats with a brilliant tapas menu concept. Incredible selection for gluten free, the entire meal catered to my GF partner and I didn’t even notice a difference of quality.

The road down to the Annex is a little bumpy, but don’t let that put you off. Once you’re in, you’re rewarded with a real hidden gem surrounded by rolling fields as far as you can see. The home itself is nearly 300 years old and there’s plenty of original features to explore, including the jewel of the stay: a room with a big old well right in the centre, now used as a dining table.

Whether you are after a delicious selection of tapas, or just a drink in the sunshine, The Annex offers not only spectacular food, but also a stylish and welcoming atmosphere. Surrounded by mellow music, candles and most importantly heaters for those chillier days, you can enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner on a beautiful terrace that looks over the town.

You can join The Annex for tapas from Tuesday to Saturday nights. They also have vegan and vegetarian options, so you’ll always find something to suit you. Throughout the day, they offer coffee, cakes and pastries, and a quiet workspace or somewhere to meet with family and friends.

Staff wonderful, food out of this world, atmosphere lively with great music!. A great place for a special occasion!. Vegetarian options: Goats cheese & fig compote on sourdough was gorgeous, orange & pomegranate salad was lovely, as was the sea bass and the cauliflower bang bang.

This bar and restaurant is dog-friendly and it consistently earns great customer reviews. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The tapas and small plates menu changes frequently so you’ll always find something new to enjoy.
