"Staying at piperdam lodges and stopped at this place for a birthday lunch for my son. It is amazing THE BEST food we have ever had at a restaurant. Portions are great and the food is incredible. Will definitely be going here again before we go home."

"Went here for a bite to eat while working at Camperdown Park.
Great parking facilities, wheelchair accessible.
Didn't have a booking and walked and quickly seated.
We were served drinks and food came quickly, even though they were fairly busy.
Both had Mozzarella sticks with sweet chillie sauce , cooked well and still stringy.
I had the steak, eggs were hard and steak was slightly more medium that medium rare.
Good selection of veg and sides with steak for price.
To full for a dessert but would of had the chocolate fudge cake as it looked great on a neighbours table."

"A hidden gem in plain sight, the Birkhill is honestly one of the best pub restaurants I have ever been to. The decor is rustic and a little dated, but you don’t go to a pub like this for the decor, you go for the amazing service, fantastic food and generous portions. My other half ordered the seafood platter, whilst I decided to order the famous speak pie. Both were incredible - top marks for quality, freshness, presentation, portion size and that home made touch you just don’t get in some places. The steak pie lived up to the word ‘famous’ and it was made just how my mum used to make it. It took me right back to being 9 years old. Honestly, incredible and very reasonably priced too. If you are staying nearby, come here, you won’t be disappointed!"
