What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tony Macaroni offers a vast menu with generous portions, making it a popular choice for families and groups. While many praise the friendly service, modern atmosphere, and value, some reviews note inconsistencies in food temperature and seasoning, with particular criticism directed at certain pasta dishes like the Mac'n'Cheese and Lasagne. Despite these occasional drawbacks, it's generally considered a solid, crowd-pleasing Italian dining option.
"I had a great time visiting the place. The staff who welcomed us were very friendly and helpful. I tried their salmon fish fillet with garlic mushrooms, and the food was delicious, with an appropriate portion size to satisfy one’s appetite. I also enjoyed the ambience and seating arrangement."

"Being in the city centre, you often feel like going out to eat and enjoy a nice meal. Italian food is always a good option, and Tony Macaroni delivered a decent experience.
The restaurant was packed, so the wait time for food was a bit long—but that’s expected during busy hours. The portion sizes were generous, and the menu had a wide variety of options, which can be a little overwhelming when trying to pick just one dish! I tried both their pasta and pizza, and they were quite good.
It’s a nice place to go with friends or family, and while I personally enjoy a few other Italian restaurants more, Tony Macaroni is still a solid choice—especially if you’re looking to try something different from your usual spots. You likely won’t be disappointed."

Great for families and children, the price is unbeatable too."

Restaurant review: Tony Macaroni in Dundee
The answer came in the unlikely form of Tony Macaroni at the bottom of Whitehall Crescent in Dundee, a spot I’d only really cursed when trying to park around there.
