Reviews Summary

Coltman's Kitchen, Deli & Bar is highly praised for its delicious and cleverly crafted food, featuring fresh, local Scottish produce. Diners consistently highlight the friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and reasonable prices. While some find the loaded fries portion small, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many recommending it as a must-visit destination.

"A nice café with snacks and delicious cakes. It seems we didn’t have the best communication when ordering, but the waiter immediately helped us out and was very friendly. This allowed us to enjoy our coffee and the great cake under the pergola in beautiful weather. The bathrooms are clean and they provide little fabric towels instead of paper towels (great!). If you’re in this charming little town, we highly recommend the Hidden Garden."

"Really delicious food and nice friendly staff. Good range and choice on the menu"

Angela Cairns

"We went here for breakfast whilst staying in Peebles, the coffee and breakfast options were excellent. We also got takeaway food for lunch, the fennel and pork sausage roll was exceptional, as was the ham hock, jalapeno and edam sandwich, which was possibly the best takeaway sandwich I've had (and I've had a lot of them!). So good, I'll be back tomorrow for another, hopefully!!"

The Tweed & Scottish Borders walking holiday

In Peebles, we were lucky to be there on one of the weekend nights that Coltman’s Kitchen is open for dinner. We had a truly outstanding meal there the second night. Choices for meals are quite limited in Innerleithen and the provided meal at Caddon View did not provide any options (if you’re a vegetarian, be sure they know that in advance).
