El Toro Gaucho- Falkirk

"Went as a group of 7 adults.
Some had 2 courses, others 3.
I had the ribeye steak which comes with side salad, grilled vine tomatoes and grilled Portobello mushroom. I ordered piri piri fries onion rings and whisky sauce as sides. Additionally I added home made beef,haggis and whisky sausage to the plate.
The ribeye was medium rare and cooked just right, the fries were well seasoned and whisky sauce had just the right whisky flavour for me.
The sausages were really nice with the flavours of all three ingredients coming through.
My pudding was rice pudding which was chocolate rice pudding, It was not too sweet and you could really taste the cinnamon.
Would recommend a visit as everyone enjoyed their meals, from prawn starters to chicken skewers and risotto.
Staff were a little disjointed with 2 people coming to check on us on a few occasions. One dessert didn't reach the table with others and we were misding spoons at the table for desserts but thos was sprted very quickly.
Perhaps need a bit better communication but staff were always friendly and helpful.
Cost for 7 was really good at around £40 a head. We didn't have a lot to drink from the bar as there were a few drivers but we even checked the bill as we were expecting to pay more so really great value."

"After visiting a lot of the steakhouses in Edinburgh and Glasgow, we decided to give a try to El Toro Gaucho in Falkirk. Table for 3, two adults and 4yo. After arrival, we notice nice modern decor and fairly young staff. Our tabel seems to be too small because when our order arrived (just a mixed grill for us and nuggets for the wee one) even waiter struggle to put everything on and we need to stack some dishes to make a room. The food looked really nice and arrived very quickly. Steak quality in good level. The only disadvantage were to much seasoning on the meat, which makes steak taste salty and cover the meat flavour. Also, one of our steak was undercooked. Overall good experience, nice and attentive staff and great atmosphere. Definitely, we will back just to check if they can improve overall experience."

"Best steak I have ever had and I have travelled all over the place it was cooked to perfection on med just soft and juicy all the way through flame grilled. Just shame potato or fries don't come with meal only optional extras. Fries were very good with truffle oil and well seasoned. Had a cold starter which got made fresh again and was made hot like intended so no harm done just needs checked in future. Staff were very good just a wee bit more attentive than they should be but fine as very polite which is always welcome. Top job guys we went on quiet times be interesting to go when busy lol."
