What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Mulberry Falmouth is highly praised for its accomplished cooking, beautiful dishes, and delicious local flavors, with many highlighting the exquisite tasting menu and inventive small plates. The service is consistently described as attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly, contributing to a cozy and welcoming ambiance reminiscent of a Greek tavern. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few diners found some dishes to be overly salty or the service occasionally impersonal, though these seem to be isolated experiences in an otherwise highly recommended establishment.
"A proper hidden gem in Falmouth! Must have walked past it countless times, but upon hearing about it we had to visit.
Welcome from the front of house was warm, and the introduction to the menu, meals and drinks was great. Clearly knowledgeable and effort had been put in to learn the courses.
One minor downside was the smell inside was too clinical, possibly from the cleaning products. We were the first table in that evening, so the smell may be more subdued in later sittings.
Nonetheless, it did not detract from the food. We both had the tasting menu which was wonderful overall. The courses came out well paced and the flavours and quality were brilliant. Overall a fab evening out.
Big applause to the chefs as some of the flavours took my wife back to childhood memories.
We look forward to our next visit."

"Underwhelming.
Having expected so much I was simply underwhelmed.
The welcome and service was just ok. One of the restaurant staff was very pleasant. Another apathetic and another very shy and timid.
Not once were we asked how our food was. For a very small restaurant that's just unforgivable. With less than 10 tables you should be checking on each table regularly.
Food was nice, however we found a number of dishes very salty. Salt does not compensate for taste.
Service was surly, impersonale.
The food, whilst decent was not always appetising, salty, and lacking in depth. The best dish was the crispy polenta.
We visited for a special occasion. Would I return? Probably not."

"I won't hesitate to recommend this restaurant. You can feel their heart on food and service. I think this team is competitive even in London. Don’t miss it if you are in Cornwall."
