How much do you reckon all of this food from Scotland’s newest seafood shack came to? 🤔 Blas Na Mara has opened on the Fort William Pier a few weeks ago & it is really delicious food. If you are looking for some really yummy seafood in Scotland it’s worth popping in to the Blas Na Mara seafood shack in Fort William. We got lobster rolls, and a pint of prawns. There are very few seafood shacks in S...

Reviews Summary

Crannog Seafood Restaurant is lauded for its exceptional seafood and stunning waterfront location, offering a memorable dining experience. Guests rave about the freshness and quality of the dishes, particularly the mussels and langoustines, complemented by attentive and friendly service. While the ambiance and views are frequently praised, some diners note that the lunch menu can be a bit pricey.

"A visit to The Crannog was a special treat for us as we were touring the area on our honeymoon. And we were so glad we booked. I first visited The Crannog 20 years ago and it was still as wonderful as I remembered.
Such a beautiful setting on the pier over the water, definitely ask for a table by the window! We watched the sun setting over the mountains and the seagulls while we ate.
The food was delicious with a good variety on the menu, perfect portions and all beautifully presented. I had the summer vegetable tart to start and he had the sweet cured herring. We followed with lemon sole and Shetland salmon and finished with honey roasted peaches and pear and elderflower custard tart. All simply wonderful.
We received fantastic customer service from friendly staff who all took the time to congratulate us on our wedding. What a great evening, we wish we lived closer so we could visit again sooner."

"Most devine food - ranges among the best we’ve ever had! Everything was to die for and the compositions excellent! Location was super cute on the Loch.
We wish we had stayed longer in Fort Williams to be able to eat here again!"

"Lovely location and stunning views. It was tied with The Coast in Langbank as best meal I have had in Scotland. The dessert was the tastiest dessert I have ever had in my lifetime. Drinks came after appetisers but waitress was very sweet. Wish they had a cheaper lunch menu as the meal ends up being very expensive for lunch as it is the same one as dinner."

But the Crannog Seafood Restaurant in Fort William even offers loch cruises before a three-course lunch (summer evening options are available). So look out for the red roof of the old bait shed. You won’t want to share the superb food with anyone else – but then it’s okay to be shellfish (best said in a Sean Connery accent).
