I’ve had the poutine at Bread Meats Bread in Glasgow numerous times over the years (I’ve been living in Glasgow for about 15 years!) and it always hits the spot. 😋 It’s a pretty decent poutine.  Not the best I’ve ever had, but I’d give it a solid 8/10.  I do find myself craving poutine from time to time (how Canadian is that 😆) and I’m so grateful that we have somewhere in Glasgow where I can go t...

Reviews Summary

Bread Meats Bread is celebrated for its outstanding burgers and delicious sides, with many praising the creative flavor combinations and quality ingredients. While the food is consistently a hit, some diners have noted that seating can be tight, especially for larger groups, and the single toilet facility can be a minor inconvenience.

"Excellent burger and lovely service.
I had the classic cheeseburger and it absolutely lived up to expectation, delicious! I’d definitely come back.

The only downside was that we booked a table for 7 people, but the space felt too tight. We were quite close together, which made it a bit difficult to enjoy the food comfortably without bumping elbows."

Luissana berroteran

"Really solid burgers, can’t fault them. The milkshakes are really good, hit the spot perfectly and nail the flavour! Not sickly

A place you know what you’re going to get and it’ll itch the scratch. Staff are lovely and friendly, up for a laugh!"

Jordan McLaughlin

"I like the food and service. I am Chinese and I am happy to see local people also enjoying the food which may mean the flavor is authentic. The gravy fries are attractive and worthy, the fries absorb the gravy and tastes special, crunchy but soft. The drinks are fancy. The classic burger tastes fresh, the buns are soft. Price equals to the quality and quantity.
Will definitely go again."

Restaurants in Glasgow

One of a new breed of burger joints that has emerged in the city, this casual spot with long wooden tables, stools, and benches is also a meeting place for coffee or a drink. The many creatively stuffed burgers and sauces are accompanied by different poutines and cheese toasties, a variation on the British classic known as rarebit. There's a good vegan and vegetarian menu, too.

10 of the best places to eat in Glasgow city centre

You can always judge a place by how easy it is to get a seat and BMB typifies the kind of eatery that you may have to wait a while for, as it's pretty much stowed out round the clock, seven days a week. Unofficially it holds the title for the best burger in the city with many of the city's bloggers (in our mind there are a few challengers but we absolutely agree that BMB's burger offering is up there with the best) but we just love the full menu and could easily enjoy multiple trips here without getting bored. In our mind, it's testament to the fact that they are pretty flawless when it comes to the complete package.

Close to the Botanic Gardens is also a really good burger place, called ‘Bread meats Bread‘ …we were so stuffed after our double burgers with caramelized sweet potatoes that we could barely move. Towards the end of the day, you should pay ‘Ashton Lane’ a visit once it’s dark outside…it’s one of these old alleys with a cute touch…especially during Christmas time. Around the corner, you will also find the ‘Hillhead Bookclub’ at ‘Burgh Lane’ which you should check out for the ‘Granny would be proud market‘ which is an indoor vintage and fashion flea market with delicious food and drinks.
