Reviews Summary

The Grape & The Good is celebrated for its exceptional selection of craft beers and world wines, complemented by the owner's expert and friendly recommendations. While many praise the welcoming atmosphere and the discoverability of new favorites, a few reviews touch upon the potential for unexpected pricing and the occasional perception of rudeness from the owner, though this seems to be an isolated incident.

"The Grape & The Good is a fantastic little shop and a huge asset to Wells.

I primarily visit for the large selection of craft beer. The range includes local breweries like Moor, Arbor and Lost & Grounded, in addition to new releases from popular breweries including Magic Rock, Beavertown and Cloudwater.

There's also a decent amount of world beer here too and you'll easily find Chimay and Orval amongst other classics.

Obviously there's more than just beer here with a massive amount of wine and spirits as well.

Andy the owner is very friendly, knowledgeable and more than happy to chat about and recommend new releases."

"My favourite wine store ! I popped in yesterday to receive great advice on Loire valley wines and creme de cassis .a very professional talented wine buyer who doesn't automatically recommend the most expensive variety of wine ! Superb wine shop !"

andy asia

"Great place! Not stuffy or intimating like some wine shops! He has a wide but always accessible range wines. You can spend lots on expensive bottles, but you’ll also find a good variety of quality growers that aren’t super exclusive, and all with very helpful & relaxed advice on hand.

He also has an excellent selection of fortified wines and spirits."
