Three's a Crowd

Whilst Harrogate is a relatively small town in comparison to neighbouring Leeds and York, I’m always pleasantly surprised by the range of options on offer.Whether you’re looking for a hunger-busting burger at the So-Bar, an Italian experience at Lucia or a sumptuous Thai experience at Sukhothai (highly recommended), there’s quality dining to suit everyone’s taste.But for a relaxing afternoon visit, my top tip’s Three’s A Crowd.Situated on West Park and billed as a modern gastro pub, it’s the perfect place to while away an afternoon. Take the dog for a walk in the valley gardens or visit the shops for some retail therapy. Then grab a seat, sit back, relax with a cold drink and enjoy a light nibble or a more comprehensive meal from the ever-changing menu and enjoy the stray views.

Serving absolute quality British food using only the finest ingredients, Three’s A Crowd invites everyone to come and have a taste of their rotating menu and curated wine list. Dogs are welcome too!. Favourites include their Wye Valley asparagus with parmesan custard, marmite, and pickled shallots, followed by a selection of the finest meats served with roasties, a Yorkshire pud, sweet-baked seasonal veg and lashings of homemade gravy.

A bistro-style restaurant originally starting up in Harrogate, and recently opening a second in Leeds, Three's a Crowd is extremely popular on Sundays for their renowned roast dinners, often offering lamb, chicken, porchetta and more. Their menu’s change often, which makes it a great excuse to return time and time again. They have an upstairs private dining area, making it perfect for special occasions or more intimate events.

Three’s A Crowd offers quality British food in a relaxed, cosy setting, and is a great destination for anyone who loves fine- ingredient-led food. An ever-changing menu means dishes are always being revamped – we love the confit corn fed chicken leg with a salt baked beetroot salad, English mustard dressing and Jersey royal potatoes. The pub’s dog friendly too!.

If you want to finish the weekend on a culinary high, and you can make room for one last meal, then head to Three’s a Crowd in Harrogate for a Sunday roast. A modern gastropub overlooking the stunning West Park Stray, the menu features the best British cuisine, served in stunning surroundings, alongside a great range of hand-picked wines and local craft beers.

Here you can expect pub classics with a modern twist, and it’s something special. A visit to Three’s a Crowd is always super relaxed and fun, and even better, they have an outdoor heated terrace and they are dog friendly!. You can expect to find a varied menu, with some impressive specials to choose from, all using great quality produce and ingredients.

I’d recommend Three’s a Crowd as a great all-round cocktail bar. The owner, John Quinlan has been the driving force behind a number of Harrogate’s bars in the past. He makes customer service the hallmark of his establishments, and all his staff receive extensive training before they are allowed behind a bar.

For classic pub grub with a contemporary, fine dining twist, it has to be Three’s a Crowd. With a site in both Leeds and Harrogate, you’ll find a wood-panelled, foliage-filled dining space where diners are treated to elevated nibbles, starters and mains from the grill.

Three’s a Crowd has received the Plate award in The Michelin Guide. It is a cosy gastro-pub with an atmospheric ambience that serves British food using high-quality ingredients. This venue also has an excellent wine list that consists of hand-picked wines.

A little more upmarket, Three’s a Crowd is a gastro pub that has earned itself a Michelin accolade. The food is eclectic and always well cooked and tasty. It gets very busy and is a place you can get dressed up for, so best book.

It’s such a lovely restaurant, with comfort food cooked really lovingly. It has a lovely modern, industrial interior with tables outside overlooking The Stray.
