It was on the more expensive side of pub style food but all 3 of us enjoyed our meals so we didnt mind."

"The only local eatery that is easily accessible. They have a good selection of beers and even lowenbrau which is amazing. However the food is mediocre the pizza was not the best and the beef chilli was just vegetables with a scattering of mince. The staff are not the friendliest with a very cold welcome and you can tell they don't want to be there.
Overall a little disappointing unfortunately"

The historical landmark was an attractive rest stop nestled in a junction of roads, frequented by weary travellers throughout the years; and it had a reputation for being quite the popular hangout.

Yes, there are lots of places in Ilfracombe, but this really is our favourite and we have been known to drive all the way up from Bideford, just to come here. The kids love their pizzas, their chicken burgers are really yummy. My personal favourite is the pulled pork and jalapeno pizza and the salted caramel ice cream is amazing.
