What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Angel offers a delightful dining experience with exceptionally prepared food and a charming atmosphere. Diners frequently praise the passionate cooking and attentive service. However, some guests have encountered issues with limited vegetarian and gluten-free options, and occasional stock availability problems in the kitchen, leading to disappointment.
"I cannot emphasise enough the quality of the food and the service at The Angel. My husband and I visited Ilfracombe for our 1 year anniversary and a few weeks before, I caught wind of this place and was lucky enough to get a table for 2 on a Saturday evening. My husband is vegetarian and I am a picky pescatarian and there was plenty on the menu for both of us. The food was really delicious, home cooked but prepared and served with professional style. We absolutely loved the aesthetic of the restaurant, it's intimate and beautifully put together. It was the best table service I believe I've ever had and we even had a chat with Carol the owner/chef about Sheffield, which she knew well. Whilst I understand they are now booked up until Christmas, if you ever get the chance to go, we would highly recommend it. What. A. Find."

"Another perfect meal with sublime food, brilliant service and wonderful atmosphere. I had the pork which was out of this world, the flavour was just amazing."

"Good food, fairly priced wines, good service. What more could you ask for?"
