Reviews Summary

The Kitchen Restaurant is highly praised for its exceptional modern Scottish cuisine, stunning river views, and incredibly friendly and efficient service. Many diners highlight the artful presentation and delicious flavors, making it a favorite for special occasions and a must-visit in Inverness. However, one reviewer noted a disappointing experience with unreliable service due to new staff training, which impacted their special celebration.

"We are from Belgium and we are on holiday in Inverness for a week. We have had a few good experiences in other restaurants. But this place is absolutely amazing!

The food is excellent. The atmosphere and the river view are amazing. And the staff are super friendly and make sure that you get the best experience.

This place is definitely a must-visit. It's a shame our holiday is almost over. We would have visited a second time."

"So glad I found this restaurant. Fantastic location overlooking River Ness. Superb welcome with perfectly attentive staff. As for the food - Wow! A set menu of either 2 or 3 courses, every dish was a work of art and beautifully presented, I don’t think we have enjoyed a meal so much - ever! I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough (and excellent value too)."

"We really appreciate how good the food is and how friendly the staff are. The dishes are beautifully displayed and extremely delicious. We told the waiter to express our gratitude to the chef as well. I definitely recommend this all restaurant and hope their rating will increase soon and let more people to know them. We three goer 3 courses menu. We love each one of them."

Address: 15 Huntly St, Inverness IV3 5PRPrice Range: ££ Our next Inverness restaurant stands out on the River Ness due to its striking modern architecture. The Kitchen offers an affordable set menu (three courses for £40) that boasts modern twists on Scottish favourites like roasted loin of wild Highland venison, and wild North Sea Halibut. And foodies with a sweet tooth won't be let down by their dark chocolate and cherry brownie for dessert.

The Kitchen Restaurant was hands down my favorite eatery in town. Tucked along the banks of the River Ness, this independent, family-run gem offers an unforgettable dining experience—not to mention great views of the river and castle!. Plus, the ambiance is both modern and welcoming, making it perfect for families looking for a celebratory night out while on vacation.

The conversion of the interior (which I’ve singularly failed to capture) has created a very appealing open space with many original features combined with modern styling. We visited for lunch twice during our time in Inverness and were seated downstairs both times. The large ground floor windows were open, letting in a lovely breeze on two warm summer’s days.
