Came in on a Thursday night and it was a very lively in Bundobust, with loads of people, chatter and great background music. This is not my first time here and it has always been a great experience with food, service, atmosphere and the value for money!. This time especially wanted to shout out our server Dylan and the man who I assume was the manager/senior staff tonight for being so helpful, accommodating and careful when handling my mother as a guest with non-celiac gluten sensitivity!

The okra fries at this vegetarian restaurant, renowned for selling top quality Gujerat-inspired street food alongside excellent craft beer, have become a bit of a cult snack in Leeds (and now over in Manchester too). Bundobust have managed to turn this divisive and sometimes slimy vegetable into something crispy, crunchy and moreish. Their lady’s fingers are coated in chickpea batter and fried before being dusted with black salt and mango powder.

I went here with my friend Amber and as a complete novice, I wasn’t quite sure what the different dishes were so was lucky to have her there to talk me through them!. We ordered the vegan combo for two and then switched one of the dishes out to make sure it was all gluten free. The food was all really good and there was so much that I could order; the menu is allergy labelled so if you didn’t want to do a sharing combo, it’s super easy to order.
