Reviews Summary

Headrow House is praised for its vibrant atmosphere, especially its rooftop terrace offering great city views and a lively vibe, alongside friendly staff. However, some patrons have noted long waits for drinks, and one review expressed dissatisfaction with the staff's attitude.

"The creamiest Guinness in Leeds? I’ve spent 15 years conducting very serious research (purely in the name of science, of course), and I can confirm: Beer Hall @ Headrow pours a pint so smooth it could charm a nun. Perfectly poured, rich, and silky—this is the Guinness dreams are made of. If there’s a smoother pint in the city, I’ll eat my bar tab. Until then, I’ll take another, please… maybe on the house?""

James Myerscough

"When you walk past the front of this bar you would never believe what is inside, there were a couple of security people on the front door which is on the main road and then when you walk through you go up a few flights of stairs again extremely quiet and not knowing what to expect but you get to the top where the terrace bar is And again lovely views of the city we have plenty of seating area, perfect for a sunny day with its own terrace bar upstairs, atmosphere was brilliant"

Toby H

"Headrow House is a nice venue for Novel Notions, a community book swap, held quarterly at Headrow House.
It's a simple and appealing concept: drop off some of your own books that are surplus to requirements, and get a token per book; then come back a bit later and exchange your tokens for a selection of the wide range of books (fiction and non-fiction) also dropped off by Leeds' bookish community.
Search through forgotten classics, nab a new release or find a new favourite you never knew you just had to read!
Novel Nations happens every few months, always on a Sunday; check out Novel Notions on social media, or the Headrow House website events page."

14 Of The Best Beer Gardens In Leeds

We’d class Headrow House’s outdoor space as a roof terrace rather than a traditional beer garden, but that’s all part of the appeal of this stylish set-up. You’ll have to head back downstairs to sample all of the beers on offer, but there’s a smaller bar and a kitchen up on the terrace, so once you’ve found a table you won’t have to head back indoors until the sun sets.

The Most Instagrammable Spots in Leeds, England

The interior of this popular hipster bar is definitely photogenic, but it’s the roof terrace that is the focus of most Instagram shots. On warm, dry days it’s the perfect place to sit with a drink, admiring the views of the city from above – and when night falls the neon red ‘You Used to Call Me on Your Cell Phone’ sign is the subject of most phone camera lenses.

Steak and chips for £5 is the signature special of this multi-space eatery–a mix of food space, beer hall, gig location and sceney rooftop–where fluffy pals are not just welcomed, but are often rewarded with a starring role on Headrow’s Instagram page. The action happens over four floors, in what was previously a textile mill. Standout features include the beer hall’s collection of four tanks of unpasteurised Pilsner and 60 international beers, plus the upstairs terraces–where you can while away a relaxed evening, and your dog has space for a leg stretch when it needs it (also known as flashing puppy eyes at other people to attract more cuddles).
