"Authentic flavours mixed with pleasing atmosphere was this place. The food was true to its name and we loved everything we ordered. It was delicious and quite swift in getting to us as well. However, the service could have been a bit more friendly the lady servers were very attentive and polite but one of the male server was very rude in demeanour and it was easy to witness his attitude in serving us. Anyways if you would like to eat some hearty Indian food this is a must try place."

A few friends and I decided to try this restaurant after hearing great recommendations, and it truly lived up to the hype. From the moment we walked in, the first impression was fantastic — the ambience was stunning, and the staff gave us a very warm welcome.

The interior, especially the beautiful chandeliers, was absolutely mesmerizing, with long mirrors to add the frame. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the chicken and lamb biryani, Hyderabadi handi, and tandoor naan. Every bite was delicious, but the naan paired with the Hyderabadi handi was a standout — simply mouth-watering! The food was perfectly cooked, and the service throughout was excellent.

To finish off, we tried the "Sundae Dad's Crust" for dessert, and it was the perfect sweet ending to the meal — so good!

Overall, it’s a top spot for me, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Leicester."

"We recently hosted my engagement party at Tipu Sultan Leicester and I feel obliged to write a review regarding our experience. From the very start during the planning stage, till the very end of our event, the manager and staff at Tipu sultan were outstandingly accommodating and pleasant to work with. They listened to our needs and requests, were always on standby, and allowed us to have the most enjoyable and stress free afternoon which exceeded all expectations.

The starters had arrived merely 20 minutes after everyone had arrived and settled, and shortly after the mains arrived as well. All items were hot, fresh, and tasted delicious. It is obvious that the food is prepared with a lot of love, care, and is uniquely authentic.

The interior design of the restaurant itself is breathtakingly beautiful, and the atmosphere was lively and pleasant. The only thing we would say is that the women’s bathroom could be maintained a little better.

Other than that we had an amazing time hosting our engagement at Tipu Sultan, and we would definitely visit again in the future. I highly recommend this restaurant to host events, or even if you are just wanting a meal out."
