Reviews Summary

Bundobust is celebrated for its innovative and flavorful vegetarian Indian street food, perfectly complemented by a wide selection of craft beers. Diners praise the vibrant atmosphere, quick and friendly service, and the unique taste of dishes like Bundo chaat and okra fries. While most experiences are stellar, some find the portion sizes small and the menu slightly confusing to navigate, leading to a higher overall cost to feel full.

"Bundobust Liverpool is a great spot for something different - Indian street food and craft beer might seem like an unusual mix, but it works!
Their craft beer selection pairs surprisingly well with the bold spices. Laid-back vibes, great food, and good drinks - definitely worth a visit!"

Rocsana Olariu

"Bundobust is pure joy! A vibrant celebration of Indian street food that delivers bold, explosive flavors alongside an effortlessly fun atmosphere. Beyond vegetarian and vegan, there's something exciting for everyone, with plenty of gluten-free options to round out the menu.

It's colorful, laid-back, and welcoming, making it the kind of place where you can settle in, take your time, and enjoy without feeling rushed. The dishes are packed with zing, spice, and creativity, each one a testament to how plant-based Indian food can be just as thrilling as its meat-heavy counterparts.

The Bundobust’s award-winning brewery elevates the experience with an impressive selection of beers, ales, and ciders. The genius "rack of thirds" lets you sample a trio—perfect if you can’t decide.

The only drawback? No vegan dessert option, which felt like a missed opportunity. But honestly, with everything else so knockout, it’s a small compromise in an otherwise stellar experience."

Sarny Gonzales

"Well done! To those who created Bundobust and those who are there in the kitchen, behind the bar and on the floor delivering it, what a great job. I am so often disappointed when eating out but because I love good food so I came with low expectations and high hopes!.

From the moment we walked in, the service from Andreas was text book on how to deliver great customer service. Calm, knowledgeable, welcoming, attentive and before I could even finish mentioning an allergy, I was given all the information I required.

The wait time was ideal, knowing it’s actually being cooked and not waiting so long that you’re fed up.

The presentation, simple and appealing. But above all, the flavours and textures here were exceptional. Balanced, well thought out and I may even say authentic. Reminding me of the vegetarian food I ate in Bangalore yet presented in a modern way.

My partner mainly heard me saying ‘oh my god’ on repeat with every mouthful I took. We tried 7 dishes on the menu, and all were perfect. Hearty, fresh, simple, balanced, familiar yet exciting. Well done!

I am hoping Bundobust will be successful enough to open more branches across the rest of the country."

Best Merseyside Restaurants - Reviews & Restaurant Guide

A really great concept – lots of decent beer and spicy, snack-y Indian food” – is the MO of this casual and vividly decorated city-centre outpost of the small northern group: “more like a canteen than a restaurant”. Don’t expect trad curry and Tiger beer, though – here you’re looking at “vegetarian-only food based on Gujarati cuisine” served alongside local craft beers (including their own). The owners started out in Leeds, but there’s also a Manchester Piccadilly sibling that spawned a brewery a few years back.
