Located up in the stunning Cathedral Quarter of Liverpool is a stand out social venue, known in the sunnier months for its airy open back yard shindigs and fabulous food. We’d recommend working your way inside as the evening sets in, taking a seat on one of its high-top tables and ordering a bottle of organic wine alongside a few small plates from the “Oktopus” menu (the Colchester oysters are a treat).

Offering a contemporary vibe amidst a well-designed space, Buyer’s Club in Liverpool is a great choice for anyone seeking the perfect Sunday roast. Served between 1pm and 8pm, the menu includes starters such as popcorn mussels and malt vinegar mayo, mains such as beef brisket or a nut roast for vegetarians, and delicious desserts such as buttermilk panna cotta with custard. Squished on the cusp of the Knowledge Quarter and the Georgian Quarter and resident in the old Flying Picket since 2015, Buyers Club is a neighbourhood bar and kitchen-restaurant, complete with gallery, garden with coffee and spritz kiosk, and even an intimate music venue. The Buyers Club garden was originally a much smaller affair but since Oktopus moved out has spanned the entire courtyard. It's a gorgeous place to come and enjoy cocktails, local brews, Belgian lambic, and orange wines from Spain and Italy.

Fitted with wooden floors, decorated with Swedish style furniture and plants, it’s like watching your favourite band in one of your trendy friend’s apartments.

The live events hosted here range from curated art exhibitions to Winyl, a vinyl and natural wine fair, so there really is something for everyone!

Quite literally, given its location in Hardman Yard (in summer, a great spot in which to kick-back with a negroni or spritz), is hidden off Hardman Street in a way likely to fox visitors. Head through the archway and you will discover a boho bar-restaurant that is producing some of the best Italian food in the region (beef shin arancini, cacio e pepe butter beans, whipped ricotta). Its fresh, handmade pasta dishes sing with flavour.

Buyers Club has launched a mouth-watering Sunday Roast menu, offering two courses for £29 or three courses for £34. Choose from delicious options like dry-aged sirloin with cauliflower purée, porchetta with salsa verde, nut roast with cauliflower purée, or hake fillet with seaweed, potato, and mussel sauce. Each roast comes with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, glazed carrots, greens, and rich gravy for the perfect Sunday treat.

Concealed off Hardman Street, down an alleyway, in a location likely to perplex first-time visitors, Buyers Club is a bohemian bar-restaurant producing some of the finest Italian-inspired cuisine in Liverpool. Pass through the archway into Hardman Yard and you’ll discover a welcoming haven that feels like a cherished secret among locals.

If spending time in nature is the key to happiness, then leaving Buyers Club in a bad mood seems almost impossible. Overflowing with lush pot plants and cascading greenery, it offers a Millennial’s paradise, complete with rustic floorboards and elegantly distressed wooden furniture. Serving as both a casual restaurant and a neighbourhood bar, Buyers Club transitions effortlessly from day to night.

Head to the Buyers Club, a popular Italian restaurant in the heart of the city. Here, you can enjoy some delicious vegan Italian dishes, like the wild mushroom and tagliolini pasta with borcini, butter and truffle or the roast squash pizza with vegan cheese, mushrooms and chilli. Tucked away behind the Old Blind School, follow the painted wall to Hardman Yard and walk past orange benches to discover Buyers Club. This Hardman Street restaurant, in my opinion, is one of the best restaurants in the city. Boasting delicious handmade pasta dishes, pizzas, desserts, craft ales and cocktails, Buyers Club is more than your average neighbourhood bar and kitchen.

Visit this cafe with your dog to take advantage of the eccentric, artistic ambience and the delectable, locally sourced meal that will have you both salivating. Don't worry if they become peckish while you're exploring Liverpool; the staff will provide snacks and water for thirsty and hungry dogs. The Buyer's Club also offers roasts on Sundays if that's what you're after.

Easily missed (look for the archway entrance off Hardman Street), Buyers Club courtyard garden is a sweet summer location for spritz cocktails and pizza. Its reliably brilliant fresh pasta dishes are reason to visit all year round. Try orecchiette with ’nduja and fennel sausage, mascarpone and sage pangrattato or the pappardelle with 14-hour braised beef shin ragu.

Not many venues can flit so effortlessly between wine bar, cocktail parlour, small plates restaurant and gig space, but here at Buyers Club, we think we do a pretty good job. Acting as a wine bar, cocktail parlour, restaurant and gig space, you can do an entire night out at the Buyers Club from start to finish. Often hosting BBQs and art exhibitions, there is always something going on at this bar/restaurant. On the menu you’ll find the likes of leek & cheddar arancini, harissa fried chicken and beef shin ragu pasta.

Within walking distance are the stylish Buyers Club and The Art School venues. The Buyers Club is a bar and restaurant combination where you can enjoy Italian food, live music and a relaxed atmosphere. As for The Art School, this stunning restaurant guarantees fine dining with freshly made products.

Buyers Club is just beyond the Old Blind School, a narrow corridor of nothingness that doesn’t look like anything special. But, how often we’ve found that down these unassuming roads we come across the most special of spaces. Healthy slabs of bright orange and yellow tables break the mirage.

This doesn’t advertise itself as a wine bar but could do easily. A very large wine glass on a sign, visible down the alley from the main road, was what drew us in in the first place. It features a large terrace with lots of benches – all full in the sunshine – and an even larger interior.

The Sunday Roast special is something to behold, tuck into a classic Sunday Lunch complete with a choice of tender cooked meats, fluffy roasties, perfect Yorkshire puddings and seasonal veg. If the weather is good, why not take a seat outside in the courtyard. Served 1.00pm – 7.00pm

If you’re a fan of fine wine to accompany your roast then Buyer Club is for you. Choose from chicken, beef brisket, porchetta or nut roast as the centre piece of your meal, accompanied by greens, carrot and turnip, roast potatoes and the trusty Yorkshire pudding.

A bit of everything in one, Buyers Club is the place where you can grab a delicious bite to eat, sip a drink in the garden, and enjoy live music. Offering “good spirits and good times to good neighbours”, the vibe is casual and super social.

Buyers Club’s garden is one of Liverpool’s hidden gems and a must to visit if you’re in the city during the Summer months. Their tasty menu of Italian inspired pizzas, pastas and desserts go down well with a cooling cocktail in the sun.

Once you’ve found the Buyers Club garden you won’t want to leave. It’s such an idylic spot right in the heart of the city centre but you feel like you’re miles away from the hustle and bustle of Hardman Street.
