Israeli husband-and-wife team Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich closed the doors to their original Warren Street site Honey & Co – the restaurant upon which they’ve grown a loyal customer base and built the foundations of a brand now including two further restaurants, four cookbooks and a podcast – earlier this year, moving the entire concept to a new site on the gorgeous Lamb’s Conduit Street. Fans will be pleased to hear that much has been kept intact – name, staff and many of the most popular dishes. Those new to the concept can expect food that is an ode to Jerusalem home cooking: fragrant and bold dishes like lamb siniya or barbecue tahini aubergine plus an enticing selection of fragrant and unusual cakes.

After a decade on Warren Street, the homey new light- (and plant-filled) Bloomsbury flagship of Honey & Co. has relocated to Lamb’s Conduit Street. We could eat every meal of the day here—starting with delicious Shakshuka eggs or cheesy bureka (a pastry filled with feta and zaatar); stop in for tea and sweets (orange blossom and almond buns, babka, feta and honey cheesecake); but the sharing menu is the showstopper: housemade pitta, sesame bread and milk buns, house pickles and creamy hummus, Luxor-style falafel and tahini, Ramson leaf labneh, roasted aubergine with bbq tahini crust and chicken marinated in sweet garlic with a pea and fennel salad.

Sarit Packer and her husband Itamar Srulovich opened this - the first of their three London enterprises - in 2012 and the tiny Middle Eastern diner became an immediate hit. All the food's amazing here, but the summer salads will hit the spot in any heatwave, right now there's flat white peach and goats’ cheese salad with almonds and orange blossom dressing or how about a roasted lamb and freekeh salad with cherries, tarragon & sour cherry tkemali sauce?. What: From the unstoppable duo that is Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich, Honey & Co is undoubtedly one of the best places to eat Middle Eastern food in London – and that goes for its breakfast too. Look out for the cheesy bureka filled with feta, zaatar, and garlic yoghurt, or a classic sabich with marinated Italian aubergines served on a pita with tahini and a fried egg. While the Levantine menu follows the traditional starters, mains and desserts format, the best way to begin the meal is by ordering mezze to share, which reflect a huge part of the food culture in the Middle East. Honey & Co - This Middle Eastern deli on Warren Street has become a firm favourite, with their Yemeni falafel delicately seasoned with cardamom and coriander. Honey & Co is the first solo venture of established chefs (and happily married couple) Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich. While Sarit trained under Chris Galvin, Jerusalem-born Itamar worked his way up through Tel Aviv restaurants before heading to the UK.

This Middle Eastern restaurant’s counter seating is what won the Michelin Guide team over when dining alone here. That and Honey & Co’s falafels and “creamy, velvety” humous. An all-day dining spot with a calm feel to it, you can grab eggy dishes or a decadent home-made cake for breakfast or seasonal mezze for lunch or dinner.

A trip to this tiny Warren Street restaurant is always a total, unfettered pleasure. Breakfast, (baked eggs in cumin-spiked tomato with milk bread) lunch (octopus with garlic-y butter beans) and dinner (melting lamb with cauliflower in tahini and yoghurt) are all fabulous.
