Reviews Summary
The Rosebery is highly praised for its exceptional Sunday roasts with generous portions and high-quality ingredients, along with a cozy and stylish pub atmosphere. Service is often described as attentive and friendly, and the establishment is noted for its excellent selection of drinks and elegant afternoon tea. Some reviewers mention the dining area can be very loud, and accessibility may be an issue for some.
"Staff were able to squeeze us in on the evening of a busy weekend. Service was good considering it was really quite busy.
The menu was quite small, but seemed as though there is a lot of local items on the menu. The menu is pretty varied so it doesn’t matter that it’s small.
The food we received was great quality and super tasty too. Excellent portion size. (Chicken Kiev and Steak)
It was a little more pricey than your average pub food, however, for the quality and the fact that some of the menu is sourced locally, you can accept paying a little more.
We will definitely be returning to The Rosebery, for future drinks and to eat! 😁"

"First visit to this pub today. We went for a roast with 2 children. The staff are so nice, a perfect balance of being relaxed and attentive. There are games to keep the kids entertained whilst waiting for food, although the food came out really quickly. Children’s portions are really generous. Food quality and variety of things on the plate was great. It was all fresh and tasted amazing. Thanks for a lovely meal! We will definitely return."

"A lunchtime visit on a bright, icy winters day in late November.
A gorgous Victorian pub which is comforting, friendly and boosting a wood burner and local cat called Andy.
Six cask ales, all in top condition.
A short but delicious menu with dishes that are packed in flavour and beautifully crafted.
I wish it was my local."

The Best Food and Drink in Norfolk
Though that may no longer be the case, the city prides itself on its pubs, which offer something for everyone – history buffs should try the Adam and Eve (parts of which date back to 1249), beer aficionados should sample the range at The Fat Cat and foodies would be wise to head to The Rosebery, or The Vine Thai (which doubles as the city's smallest pub and a Thai restaurant). Or, for a whistle-stop tour of all of the above, head to Norwich during its City of Ale festival, which is packed with trails and tastings.
A chef's guide: where to eat in and around Norwich
They do an amazing Sunday lunch at The Rosebery,' says Richard of this independent pub with rooms just north of the city centre run by Jessie and Tim Dodd. 'It’s relaxed, family-friendly and every element is cooked really well. The cauliflower cheese is deluxe, and the rosemary hash browns are inspired.' Sunday roasts centre on the likes of Norfolk beef sirloin, rolled and stuffed pork belly, or vegetarian wellington.
