What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
The Orangery at Blenheim Palace is celebrated for its stunning historic setting and the delightful experience of afternoon tea, with many praising the attentive service and good value. However, some visitors have found the afternoon tea to be less impressive, citing stale pastries and a disappointing overall experience for the price.
"An absolutely perfect venue with amazing staff and the added bonus of great food.
Always have an fantastic time in the Orangery and Sunday is a particularly great day to visit. The Sunday roasts are to die for or afternoon tea if you are just snacking... all is just brilliant.
Particular thanks to Rachel for looking after us and being an awesome host and to Keeley for being the best waitress a diner could ask for. Keeley was very attentive, polite just lovely.
Thanks all for a wonderful time every time."

"Went for High Tea to celebrate a birthday. First time at the Orangery and it was stunning. We were 5 people and had an 11 month old with us and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. The food, decor, service and ambiance were all perfect at a very reasonable price. We were given so much that we had another mini high tea at our accommodation afterwards :-)"

"It was our 5th visit, we always come for an afternoon tea and it is always a lovely experience. The Orangery is beautifully decorated. They serve the best breakfast tea and amazing and tasty food with it. The service is very nice and they do look after you. I am always recommending this place to my friends for a special occasion as it really is a nice experience"

The Orangery at Blenheim Palace was refurbished in January 2023. Over the years it has been a greenhouse, a conservatory to a theatre, office spaces, an art gallery and now a restaurant. You can head here to enjoy a delicious Sunday lunch or a tempting Afternoon Tea which consists of house-made scones, sweet treats, and dainty sandwiches.
Woodstock and Blenheim Palace a Perfect Pair for a Great Outing
Afternoon tea in the Orangery looking out on the Italian Garden creates the illusion of living in a stately home. Uniformed staff move silently and swiftly around the large room as friendly as you would like them to be but always efficient. After perusing the menu, I chose the classic afternoon tea with a ‘special’ breakfast tea.
