Reviews Summary
Al Boccon Di' Vino offers a unique, no-menu Italian dining experience with a focus on traditional, multi-course meals. While many praise the delicious and abundant food, particularly dishes like roast pork and pasta, some find the set menu pricey and the service direct. The intimate atmosphere is a draw, but managing expectations regarding the fixed menu and the assertive management style is advised.
"We went for the 3rd time for the lunch time serving. £80 per person but well worth every pound. The food was delicious, fresh and didn't disappoint.
The waiters were polite. My only drawback is the manager. She's very abrupt as she gave a rude gesture when we declined wine and asked for bottle water. The way she speaks to customers and the waiters is impolite and unprofessional.
She needs to retire as she's been there for too long or she needs to improve her customer facing skills as she would be the one reason why I wouldn't go back."

"Quirky multi course no menu restaurant run by same people for many years.
Great experience.
House wine recommended.
Don't eat anything before you go!"

"Our experience was fine but nothing wow.
The restaurant offers a fixed seven-course set menu every day. The starters were just okay, but the pork was excellent. That said, there was nothing particularly special about the food - it felt like very well-prepared home cooking.
In my opinion, £400 for four people is significantly overpriced for the experience we had. While the food was enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. The manager made it clear that you’re simply a guest here—
- you sit exactly where they tell you and eat exactly what they serve. The menu wasn’t clearly explained at the beginning, and for this price, I would expect a more welcoming and accommodating experience.
Overall, there are plenty of other places in the area that offer a better experience for the same price."

It has a no-menu policy — in practice, this means you turn up, pay your money, and in return you’ll be bought any number of courses, featuring whichever Venetian speciality the chef has decided to cook that day. Rest assured, it’s all delicious, and they will of course take note of any dietary requirements. The wine is pretty good value, too.
