Cafe Diwali

For an intimate dining experience that might be part of a romantic getaway, celebrating a special occasion, or simply an excuse to have an evening away from the children, it is one of the most relaxing places to eat in the city. It is a popular place for group dining, so make sure you ring ahead to book you and your significant other a cosy corner table for two.

Café Diwali on Crane Street describes itself as a Traditional Indian restaurant serving Indian street food and craft beers near Salisbury cathedral. They have a garden area that can sit 44 people and prepare lots of their staples from scratch including chutneys, desserts, and even some drinks.

2022 Review: “Consistently good and authentic street food” with “lots of extras” ensure a “very different Indian experience” at Muhammed Rasheed’s five-year-old, close to the cathedral. There’s a shaded patio out the back and craft beer available.

For reference, when Elliot and I went to Cafe Diwali for dinner we had a curry each (which came with a naan), a rice to share, and a beer each and spent a total of £50. So, it's certainly on the pricier side but the food was truly delicious.

This is a great little Indian joint that serves their food nice and hot. Their dishes are really yummy for those who like Indian food. The atmosphere is friendly and the aroma that emanates from the kitchen will make your mouth water.
