"We called in here today as it was a special day celebrating and remembering my Dad's life. He loved this fish and chip cafe, so today was a day we went with my Mum. From walking through the door, we were greeted with a lovely young lady with a warm smile, she was very patient whilst we decided what we would like, even advising us of what the fish was and that it was skinless and boneless, just how I prefer. She took our order and gave us the order receipt, advising us that we will be called once the food and drinks were ready. I like how the drinks are served at the same time as the food. The cafe is lovely inside with nautical theme, spotlessly clean and welcoming feel to the place. When the food arrived it was piping hot and absolutely delicious, I will go as far as saying, it was the BEST fish I have ever had, pure white Haddock with a perfectly light and crispy batter, I chose to have salt and vinegar on it. My husband opted for a battered sausage buttie, to which he thoroughly enjoyed. The cafe staff we found all very pleasant and, sitting at a table with a view of the bay (perfect). We visited the loo before we left, which incidentally very again spotlessly clean. I make no wonder my Dad loved this place. A review also in memory of my lovely Dad. Thank you Anchor Fish & Chips, we highly recommended you."

"We went on a chilly Monday evening and sat outside with the dog. They were freshly cooked, so they were hot and light, with fluffy chips and crispy batter (cooked in lard), giving the food the traditional flavour of the seaside. Enjoying a pint with it was a real bonus."

This was a good sized portion. Plenty of chips and tasty fish, batter bit oily.
