What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ambulo offers a vibrant atmosphere and some delicious menu items, including praised spicy grilled cheese and homemade sausage rolls. However, some diners find it to be poor value for money, citing high prices and small portions for certain items like the New Yorker sandwich. While the ambiance can be great for meetings, some reviewers mention lacking service or a cold atmosphere.
"Have been past many times and thought it was time to call in. Ambulo is part of the Millennium gallery building, downstairs.
It's all nice and spacious , good for accessibility ♿ and clean.
The staff were polite and did a nice job.
Picked up a flat white coffee and a sausage roll today and enjoyed both. The sausage roll seemed to be more home made style, loved it.
There are a ton of nice cakes and pastries, and decent choice of sandwiches and drinks."

"A nice café, near the train station, at the entrance of the millennium gallery.
The interior of the café is very nice, there is an emphasis on a flowery vibe with a cyan and pink colour code. The café has a window facade.
There is a lot of seating available. The café is definitely not as busy as Tamper Sellers Wheel so no wait needed.
The staff who was taking my order at the till seemed to be new and didn’t seem to know how to use the till properly because she asked her colleague for advice.
I ordered the Eggs Royale which costed £10.50, not the cheapest Eggs Royale I must say but it tasted nice.
The canton earl grey which costed £2.50, was a standard earl grey tea.
Overall, a good location and not a bad experience. The price for the meal wasn’t great."

"Really nice food, I had the spricy grilled cheese with jalapeños and an ice brew, both were great!
Also shout out to the young woman on today (21st Sept), she was working on her own and gave excellent customer service throughout, a credit to the café."
