"We will definitely be going back....although we did not sleep in the hotel if the restaurant and bar were anything to go by i am sure the rooms were excellent. we made use of their camper stopover spaces the restaurant and bar areas, they were extremely welcoming and spotlessly clean, dogs are very welcome and have their own menu. we were there for one night, and the landlord was excellent he and his staff went above and beyond for us to make our stay a wonderful one. I cannot fault a single thing. A stop and a meal here is a must and to top it off a beautiful view to wake up to."

"We stayed for 2 nights and eat at the pub the first night. Family room was comfortable and looked as if it had been upgraded recently. Breakfast was freshly cooked and the evening meal satisfactory. All of the staff were pleasant and provided exceptional service They appeared happy with a good working atmosphere. Parked outside of the pub but the car park opposite is free of your car registration is entered at the bar. A well run pub. Ideal stay for walking in the area"

"Lovely hotel. We stayed over Easter. Two of us and a dog for three nights. Room was lovely. Big enough to move around and very clean and well appointed in a modern way. Food was excellent and the staff go over and above to help you and ensure that the food and service is superb. They remember your preferences and serve you with a laugh and a smile despite the bank holiday lively weather meant the bar was rammed. As the last bus leaves for Sheffield around 7.15pm at night the crowds disappear early evening and the walkers staying there tend to head off to bed early so it is generally lovely and quiet after 8pm. Parking on a busy day can be a challenge. But if you time it right then there are enough spaces - remember to put your registration number at the bar to save on parking or it is £3.00 an hour really enjoyed the stay and our dog was welcomed which is lovely. Easy walk to the hills above the reservoir and to the reservoir itself."

Our traditional stone-built pub dates back to the 18th century when it served as a Coaching Inn. The building holds many secrets – it was once used as a morgue during a spate of local murders in the 1700s. The Yorkshire Bridge Inn and the Anglers Rest are both traditional country pubs in Bamford, which serve good pub food. You could also eat at the Ladybower Inn, which is on the A57, near the reservoir.
