What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mowgli Sheffield offers a vibrant dining experience with a captivating ambiance and unique Indian street food. Diners often praise the friendly and attentive staff, the fun swing seating, and the delicious, flavor-packed dishes like the chat bombs and gunpowder chicken. However, some patrons have found the food to be bland or not entirely authentic, with occasional concerns about quality.
"The staff were really friendly and helped us order as we hadn’t been to Mowgli’s before. Very satisfied with the food, the chicken was like butter - melted into your mouth, and the drinks were great! Will definitely be back again."
Kelly Dickinson
"this was our first visit to Mowgli. we ate on a Wednesday lunchtime so apart from us and another couple the restaurant was empty and there was no background music so there was no atmosphere - but that was expected. what we didn't expect was the food to be very bland tasting. we just assumed the chef was having an off day but having asked friend and work colleagues in other part of Sheffield and the UK who have ate at other Mowgli restaurants this seems to be the norm. don't think we'll be back again based on those two factors"
Andrew Armer
"Had a fantastic birthday meal at Mowgli! The food was absolutely delicious (especially the paneer wrap), and the portion sizes were generous (definitely ask for recommendations on how much to order). Our server, Scarlett, was incredibly helpful with her suggestions and mixed some amazing cocktails. Great service and great atmosphere!"

Indian street food and home-cooking are the draws at this fun and colorful spot that has lights upcycled from old birdcages and a bar created from former railway sleepers. Many of the vibrant dishes, such as the hugely popular yogurt chat bombs (crispy, filled bread puffs), are served in tiffin boxes (traditional Indian lunch containers) to charming effect. There are also great vegan, gluten-free, and kids’ menus.
