Reviews Summary
The Fountaine Inn is praised for its delicious, hearty meals and welcoming atmosphere, making it a favorite for both locals and visitors. Many highlight the beautiful location in Linton and the friendly service, with Sunday lunch and classic pub dishes like fish and chips receiving particular acclaim. While parking can be a bit challenging when busy, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many planning return visits.
"Called in for a drink and found the Fountaine Inn to have a friendly atmosphere and warm welcome. It was Sunday afternoon so very busy but we managed to find a table. The pub is dog friendly. There was a wide and varied choice of drinks, including their own Fountaine ale, which was lovely and my huband also enjoyed the bitter - both beers were well kept. Service was quick and the bar man polite. The toilets were clean. The prices were reasonable for the area. We didn't have food as we already had plans but it smelt lovely. We had a look at the menu, the choices were good and the prices competitive, so we have decided we'll be back soon for Sunday lunch as it is only half an hour from home.
Parking was a little difficult because there is no designated car park and the pub was busy, but we eventually managed to find a space across the village green so it wasn't a problem."

"We had the room we love (barn door) and we were delighted to find a fan, an iron and an espresso machine! Room was perfect. Every single staff member were super friendly and helpful. I swear the Fountaine employs people with naturally friendly faces!! The water and milk in the fridge next door is a fantastic idea"
